The Beatles Perform Shakespeare

In 1964 to commemorate William Shakespeare's 400th birthday, The Beatles performed their rendition of a Shakespeare's play-within-a-play, The Tragedy of Pyramus and Thisbe in A Midsummer Night's Dream. John and Paul definitely play out their quite obvious bromance in this mini-play, starring as star-crossed lovers doomed to die together. Enjoy!

Children need to be exposed to them. Good work!

This is one out of dozens of videos where a study shows kids ranging from age 5 to 14 different topics. From The Beatles to Macklemore, kids watch videos, look at pictures, and answer questions. Jennifer this is for you!

This day in 1964

On May 5, 1964, the first released pictures of baby Julian Lennon were featured by the British press. Meanwhile, the Beatles appeared the Scottish show Roundup. It was a common theme for Julian growing up, that his father was away being a teen heartthrob while he was home growing up with his mother. It led to an estranged relationship that was repaired when Julian was sixteen, only a few months before John was killed.

This day in 1963

On March 12, 1963, The Beatles made the third date of their UK tour at the Granada Cinema in Bedford, England. John Lennon was sick, unfortunately so they played without him. How they did that I have no idea...

Please excuse the mess that's my blog at the present moment. Something got screwed up and while trying to fix it, I made it even worse! It should be better in the coming days. Thanks!
