My favorite is George Harrison. I think that he is often under appreciated, even though one of my top favorite Beatle songs is "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". That's still one of the best guitar focused songs that I've heard. Plus, he's really funny in the movies

Help!
I'm impressed most by John, but I like Paul's post Beatles sound.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that Paul's work after the Beatles are the best. Other than George's "My Sweet Lord" and John's "Imagine" and "Woman" I really don't care for their work outside of the Beatles.

ReplyDeleteAbby,
I went to your blog. Good job. I have been a long time Beatles fan. Saw them on 8-21-65. I've been on both Beatle walks in London. Beatles were great (although John had some issues late).

I am admittedly a huge Paul fan, but Ringo kind of melts my heart. I love "Octopus' Garden", and his voice in "With A Little Help from My Friends" is hauntingly beautiful. (But maybe that's just because I have a thing for drummers...)
ReplyDeleteMy favs have changed over the years from John, George to currently Paul... I guess I am a more happy-go-lucky person these days and Paul is a good fit

Check out the link above. Bryan Ferry's "She's Leaving Home" I think it rivals the original.
Enjoy!
